Local Time of the Murphy Guest House Bed and Breakfst

Our local time will vary seasonally due to Daylight Savings Time. At The Murphy Guest House, we observe Eastern Standard Time (EST) while Chicago observes Central Standard Time (CST). So please keep that in mind since we're so close to a time zone change when arriving from Chicago.

And, please remember, our check in times are from 4pm to 6pm and our check out time is 11am. All listed times are local. Please note a full room rate is charged for cancellations made less than 7 days in advance.

The Murphy Guest House Room Rates

Each guest room is $129 (US) per night based on two person occupancy and an additional $25 (US) for a third person regardless of season.

Check in times are between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm and check out times are at 11:00 am.

Note: If you are arriving by air via Chicago O'Hare or Midway, they observe Central Standard Time

Being a proud member of several Bed and Breakfast and Inn Keepers associations we are raising the bar in overnight accommodations for you. As a courtesy to our guests we are a smoke free establishment that does not allow children under 10 years old. We also do not allow pets, however, there is a lovely pet motel just two blocks away.

Weddings, Showers and Receptions

Want an especially elegant way to commemorate the beginning of your life together? Murphy Guest House knows how to put on a wedding. Scrapbooking or Quilting Weekend or Ladies Night (nights) Out

Gather up 5 to 8 of your best girlfriends, quilting or scrapbooking friends and head for the Murphy Guest House to scrap the nights away or catch up on each others lives. No husbands or kids to worry about or feed the whole time.

There are several area restaurants available for dining, or order in from Elkhart County's best pizza café. Included are all kinds of snacks and beverages available at no extra charge.

"Ann did an awesome job of adding wonderful special touches to make us feel welcome. When we arrived, she had a small plate of cheese, crackers, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and sparkling grape juice. Also, she had written us a welcome note and a box of chocolates on our bed. When we returned from our events, she had out bed turned down with a chocolate on each pillow and a decanter of ice cold water. Breakfast was just delicious- all homemade! [...]"
